What Portable Ultrasound Can Diagnose
Our portable ultrasound machine provides diagnostic imaging for several areas:
- Abdominal scan: Liver, kidneys, gallbladder, spleen, bladder, and pancreas. Detects gallstones, kidney stones, fluid collections, and organ enlargement.
- Thyroid scan: Checks for nodules, cysts, and enlargement of the thyroid gland.
- Soft tissue scan: Evaluates lumps, swelling, or fluid collections under the skin.
For cardiac ultrasound (echocardiogram) or obstetric ultrasound, a hospital visit is recommended. Our portable unit covers general diagnostic imaging.
How It Works
- Book the visit and tell us which area needs scanning.
- Preparation: For abdominal scans, fasting for 6 to 8 hours gives clearer images. We'll tell you when booking.
- The scan: The doctor applies gel to your skin and moves the ultrasound probe over the area. You see the images on screen in real time.
- Results: The doctor interprets the images immediately and writes a report. If further investigation is needed, they'll recommend next steps.
