Why Language Matters When You're Sick Abroad
Getting sick in a foreign country is stressful enough. Trying to explain your symptoms in a language you don't speak makes it worse. Most public hospitals in Da Nang operate primarily in Vietnamese. Doctors there are skilled, but communication gaps lead to misunderstandings about symptoms, allergies, and medical history.
Our doctors handle the entire consultation in English. You explain your symptoms in your own words. The doctor explains the diagnosis and treatment plan clearly. No guessing, no translation apps, no pointing at body parts.
What You Get in English
Every visit produces documentation in English:
- Medical report: Your diagnosis, examination findings, and treatment provided. Written in clear medical English that your insurer and your home doctor can understand.
- Itemized receipt: A detailed breakdown of charges: consultation fee, medications, IV fluids, supplies. Line by line, in English.
- Prescriptions: If the doctor prescribes medication, the prescription is written in English with drug names, dosages, and instructions.
These documents are formatted for international insurance claims. We've provided reports accepted by Allianz, AXA, Bupa, Cigna, and many other travel insurers.
We Support 8 Languages
Da Nang attracts visitors from all over the world. While all our doctors speak English, we also arrange language support for:
- Korean (한국어)
- Chinese (中文)
- Japanese (日本語)
- Russian (Русский)
- French (Français)
- German (Deutsch)
- Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt)
Tell us your preferred language when booking. We'll match you with a doctor or arrange an interpreter who speaks your language.
Home Visits Are Easier Than Navigating a Hospital
Visiting a Vietnamese hospital as a foreigner involves waiting in crowded lobbies, navigating departments signed in Vietnamese, and filling out paperwork you can't read. It's an ordeal when you're healthy. It's much harder when you're sick.
A home visit skips all of that. The doctor comes to your room with equipment and medication. The consultation happens in English, in private, in your own space. For most non-emergency conditions, this is the faster and more comfortable option.
